A pair of original H-269 armchairs by renowned Czech designer Jindrich Halabala.

 

Possibly the most celebrated Czech furniture designer of the 20th century, from 1930 to 1946 Halabala was Head Designer for the United Arts and Crafts manufacturing company in Brno.

 

With their original timber, these chairs have been restored to their intended condition with a re-upholstered seat and back. Unlike so many of Halabala’s chairs on the market today, the timber’s ebonised surface has been left untouched to preserve its beautifully patinated condition.
