Mahogany Chair

"This piece was received with previous attempts made at repairing major damage to the top of the chair leg. In my workshop, a new top to the leg was jointed, coloured, and matched to the original patination to reserve the chair's charm and character."

Marquetry Longcase Clock

"This beautiful clock was delivered following storage in a damp location, which caused the glue to fail. The carcass was completely rebuilt and all missing mouldings were replaced to restore it to its original condition."

Mahogany Armchair

"The original upholstery of this mahogany armchair had perished. Working with the client to determine a new fabric, this armchair was fully reupholstered to give new life to this beloved piece."

Japanese Cabinet

"One of the loveliest pieces I've worked on, this cabinet was bought by a client from a Dorset auction room. Through an overhaul of moving parts and runners and relaying the majority of the veneer, this piece was restored to an idylic condition."

Large Garden Benches

"This magnificent pair of garden benches arrived in a complete mess, with lots of rot and several previously replaced parts in softwood had also succumbed to rot. These benches were fully restored through major replacements, which this time matched the original piece, and through delicate carving that perfectly matched the original design."

A Rosewood Whatnot

"The top of this rosewood whatnot had large black stains, ruining the original piece. Under a strict brief to remove the stains without affecting the original colour of the rosewood, I carefully removed the polish layer by layer until the stain could be bleached and removed. The piece was then revived through a polish and wax finish that followed the client's brief."
